Description

The Fellowship Program supports and encourages high-quality academic research related to the Bank’s core functions. In addition, the Program promotes collaboration between the Bank’s researchers and leading academics at Canadian post-secondary institutions such as yours.

There are two types of Fellowship Program awards:

  1. the Fellowship Award which provides annual funding totalling $90,000 to leading academic researchers for a term of up to five years; and
  2. the Governor’s Award which consists of an annual research grant of $30,000 for emerging leaders in academic research who have obtained their PhDs within the last 10 years. This award is for a term of up to two years.

Details about the eligibility requirements and the nomination process can be found on the Bank’s website. Please note that there is no limit to the number of candidates a university can nominate, and we encourage you to re-nominate candidates from previous years.

The deadline for nominations is November 30, 2022. The announcement of the 2023 award recipients will be posted in March.
