The Innovation Research Program For Early Career Investigators

Well-being, Health and Biomedical Discovery

Deadlines

Academic Unit: Inquire with your unit

Memorial Deadline: Wednesday 29th, April 2020

External Deadline: Monday 4th, May 2020

Description

Due to the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 and the resulting closures and changes in Canadian research institutions, the Stem Cell Network has extended the deadline for applications to its Round 2 Funding Programs until end of day May 4, 2020.

SCN is pleased to invite full proposals under the Innovation Research Program. Funding through
this program will support early-career researchers from the health, bio-engineering and social
sciences (i.e. within first five years of an initial academic appointment) who are developing a stem
cell research program with a regenerative medicine focus. To be eligible for funding proposed
research projects must have a regenerative purpose and serve as a foundation for a translational
program.

This program is also open to researchers studying the ethical, legal and social implications of stem cell and regenerative medicine. Funded Projects will serve as a foundation for a longer-term translational research program. Project awards will be up to $150,000.
