The objective CAAIF-CSACI Research Fellowship is to enable developing researchers in the field of Allergy and Clinical Immunology to pursue further research training.
ABOUT THE SPONSORS
The Canadian Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF) is a charitable foundation whose mission is to invest in research leading to new and better treatments that improve the lives of Canadians living with allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases. To date, CAAIF has invested over two million dollars in Canadian allergy, asthma and immunology research.
The Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (CSACI) is a not-for-profit society recognized as the largest and most influential Canadian professional medical organization representing allergists, asthma specialists, clinical immunologists, allied health professionals and scientists with special expertise in the management of allergic/immunologic diseases, including treatment, education and research. The CSACI represents over 525 Canadian and international members.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The Fellowship will cover up to $50,000 for salary or research relating the proposed project. This includes a maximum of $5,000 travel allowance. There will be three seperate Fellowships based on geographic region: “Ontario or Manitoba”, “Quebec or Atlanatic Canada”, and “British Columbia, Alberta or Saskatchewan”.
DURATION
The Fellowship is for one year, non-renewable. Fellowships must commence within six (6) months of receiving the Award.
