Competition deadline December 15*
The J. R. Smallwood Foundation for Newfoundland & Labrador Studies supports research in all areas of the Humanities and Social Sciences that focus on Newfoundland and Labrador Studies. The Foundation currently offers funding under three categories: research grants, conference grants, and publication subvention grants.
Please note that Memorial applicants for Research Grants must submit those through the Memorial Researcher Portal by their unit’s internal deadline. Applications for Conference or Publication Subvention grants can be submitted directly to the Foundation by the competition deadline of December 15.
