Description
The Dr. Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship has been created in memory of neuroscientist Dr. Hubert van Tol. It is open to all doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows performing research as part of a Brain Canada grant. The travel fellowshipis funded by the generous support of the Seger-van Tol family and Brain Canada.The student or fellow will be selected on a competitive basis by an expert committee established by Brain Canada. The committee will award the fellowship based upon the criteria outlined below.
Purpose: Brain Canada and the Seger-van Tol family recognize that the pandemic has made traveling difficult and near impossible.Despite this, we are pleased to offer the Dr. Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship this year in order to exceptionally support the virtual attendance of awardees to an international conference/symposium or training course.
Number of awards:Two.
Amount of award: $1,000 per one award.
The fellowship will be awarded to the top applicant in two categories: 1) Doctoral 2) Postdoctoral
Application deadline: July 12 at 16:00 ET
As the sponsors deadline falls on Memorial’s MID-July holiday of July 12th (Holiday schedule for all administrative, technical, and technical support staff) these applications will be submitted to the sponsor on Friday, July 9th.
