Description

Through its International Research Grant Program, Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ) aims to fund investigations that advance our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, help identify new treatment strategies, provide information to improve care for people with dementia, and further our knowledge of brain health and disease prevention.

As ALZ’s funding initiatives have grown and matured, grant categories have expanded to support researchers at every stage in their careers. Funded projects now explore the broadest possible spectrum of biological approaches to prevention and treatment solutions, social and behavioural strategies for improving the effects of dementia on individuals and their families and professional caregivers, clinical studies, and adaptive technologies.

Through a partnership with ALZ, Brain Canada will be funding Canadian-led teams who meet peer review recommendations.
