Description
The Canada Foundation for Innovation has launched a competition through its new Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund to support biocontainment and large-animal facilities and to enhance Canada’s research capacity for pandemic readiness.
CFI will invest up to $ 115 million to cover eligible costs of infrastructure projects and up to $ 34.5 million to cover operating costs.
Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals and non-profit research institutions recognized as eligible by the CFI can apply to this competition.
The deadline for submitting a notice of intent is October 18, 2021.

Information sessions
We will hold information sessions for researchers, research administrators and other interested parties on September 27 in English and September 28 in French. Both sessions will occur from 1 to 2 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
