The “Catalyst Grant: Addressing Musculoskeletal Conditions and Arthritis in Canadians” is targeting four (4) areas CIHR-IMHA has identified as areas of health research need: Canadians with joint replacements, musculoskeletal conditions and arthritis in the Canadian Military Services, Canadians with back and/or neck pain, and Canadians with musculoskeletal trauma. This funding opportunity will encourage new and established investigators to address these concerns to improve the health of Canadians. It is expected that this investment will enable researchers to generate preliminary observations, data, or knowledge where these is a substantial burden of disease in musculoskeletal conditions and arthritis.
