True Patriot Love Research Initiative

Canada’s defense policy, Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) outlines the commitment of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to demonstrate leadership in reflecting Canadian ideals of diversity, respect and inclusion, including striving for gender equality and building a workforce that leverages the diversity of Canadian society. To operationalize this vision, the CAF is committed to increasing the representation of women in their workforce with a goal of 25% by 2026. Furthermore, there is increasing recognition of the importance of the use of gender-based analysis in assessing the potential impacts of operations on diverse groups of people, taking into account identity factors, such as: age, race, ethnicity, geography, sex, and gender.

A Call for Proposals(CFP)is being administered by CIMVHR to identify a research team that will be able to successfully build upon a program of research focused on Canadian servicewomen and women Veterans. For this specific Call for Proposals, CIMVHR is seeking a research team that will be able to complete the following research:

*.Conduct a review to summarize the completed research to-date that relates to Canadian servicewomen and women Veterans; and

*.Provide an analysis and recommendations for next steps as they relate to enhancing this program of research.

  • Final proposals must be submitted through the CIMVHR funding opportunities portal(https://funding.cimvhr.ca/) by 5:00 pm (EST) on Monday, November 1st, 2021, for consideration and evaluation. It is recommended that all applicants access and review the CIMVHR opportunities portal at least a full week in advance of this deadline to ensure that all forms and information are completed.
