Description
The Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF) has opened a Community-based climate action Request for Proposals (RFP) with available funds for projects in six Canadian provinces and territories – Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The objective of this request for proposals is to support projects that will develop knowledge, tools and/or skills that engage communities in climate action. Community-based climate action projects should help to support Canada’s goals for climate action, such as net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
To be eligible for funding under this RFP, Lead Applicants must be one of the following:
- not-for-profit non-governmental organization
- university or academic institution
- Indigenous organization
The deadline for submitting a proposal is 15:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on January 6, 2022.
