TheClean Resource Innovation Network(“CRIN”)isa pan-Canadian network focused on ensuring Canada’s energy resources can be sustainably developed and integrated into the global energy supply.By helping to identify industry challenges, CRIN is able to support a market pull to accelerate commercialization and widespread clean technology adoption by bringing together industries, entrepreneurs, investors, academia, governments, and others.CRIN enables energy solutions that will be applied across Canadian industries, and with the potential for global export, to increase competitiveness and decrease environmental footprint from source to end use. This powerful network facilitates connections and partnerships, amplifying ideas and expertise to produce unexpected solutions for global challenges.CRIN’s members believe in making the “and” conversation– energy development and environmental stewardship – a reality that will have local, national and international benefits.CRIN’s vision is that Canada is the global leader in producing clean hydrocarbons from source to end use.

The Low Emission Fuels and Products Competition is a $25 million two-phase challenge to accelerate the development of innovations that reduce the carbon intensity of Canada’s oil and gas industry. This includes transportation fuels and other hydrocarbon-derived products. It is one of three competitions hosted by the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) with support from Canada’s Innovation, Science and Economic Development Strategic Innovation Fund. The other competitions focus on Reducing Environmental Footprint and Digital Oil and Gas.
