Description

The Defeating Embryonal Cancer in Young People Together (DECRYPT) Research Grant is designed to bolster the current childhood embryonal cancer landscape by providing funding for a research project that will address an unmet need for these pediatric brain cancers. This grant is possible thanks to the collaborative effort and shared values of several organizations: Kindred Foundation, Cancer Research Society (CRS), Phoebe Rose Rocks Foundation, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, The Miracle Marnie Foundation, Childhood Cancer Canada, and Tali’s Fund, with the goal to make significant change for children with embryonal brain tumours by investing in clinical research

Applicants must submit a letter of intent (LOI). The Cancer Research Society and Kindred Foundation will review all LOIs for conformity and quality. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a Full Application. A peer review committee will rank the applications and chose the best ones.

*** All applications must be submitted in English to facilitate peer review by international reviewers.

Deadline for submitting a LOI April 10, 2023
Invitation to submit a Full Application April 14, 2023
Deadline for submitting a Full Application June 14, 2023
Review completed, award announced September 2023
First grant installment November 2023
