The FY24 ARP Discovery Award supports innovative, non-incremental, high-risk/potentially
high-reward research that will provide new insights, paradigms, technologies, or applications in
autism research. Studies supported by this award are expected to lay the groundwork for future
avenues of scientific investigation regarding an important question for autism research and/or the
ASD community. The proposed research project should include a well-formulated, testable
hypothesis based on a sound scientific rationale and logical reasoning. Preliminary data are not
required but is allowed. The outcome of research supported by this award should be the
generation of robust preliminary data that can be used as a foundation for future research projects
and applications for funding.
A pre-application is required and must be submitted through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) at https://eBRAP.org prior to the pre-application deadline.
All applications must conform to the final Funding Opportunities/Program Announcements and General Application Instructions which can be found on the Grants.gov website (https://Grants.gov). A listing of all CDMRP and other USAMRDC extramural funding opportunities can be obtained on the Grants.gov website by performing a basic search using CFDA Number 12.420. Applicant organizations must be registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov/SAM/) and receive confirmation of an “Active” status before submitting an application through Grants.gov.
