Description
The USAMRDC’s mission is to provide solutions to medical problems of importance to the
American Service Member at home and abroad, as well as to the general public at large. The
scope of this effort and the priorities attached to specific projects are influenced by changes in
military and civilian medical science and technology (S&T), operational requirements, military
threat assessments, and national defense strategies. Extramural research and development
programs play a vital role in the fulfillment of the objectives established by the USAMRDC.

A pre-application is required for all submissions to the USAMRDC BAA. For consideration under the Military Family Health Research Award, pre-applications must be submitted through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) at https://eBRAP.org prior to the 1 September 2025 pre-application deadline.
All applications must conform to the FY23-27 USAMRDC BAA and General Submission Instructions which can be found on the Grants.gov website (https://Grants.gov). A listing of all CDMRP and other USAMRDC extramural funding opportunities can be obtained on the Grants.gov website by performing a basic search using CFDA Number 12.420. Applicant organizations must be registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov/SAM/) and receive confirmation of an “Active” status before submitting an application through Grants.gov.
