Description

The Environmental Damages Fund’s (EDF) Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF) has opened a Call for Applications (CFA) to fund projects under ECCC’s Canada Environmental Science Opportunity (CESO). CAAF funding is available to not-for-profit organizations for research and analysis projects that support Canada’s path to net zero taking place anywhere in Canada (stream 3).

Log into the online application platform Grants & Contributions Enterprise Management System (GCEMS) to apply and access the Applicant Guide, which is also attached to this email. Please note that the attached CAAF Applicant Guide is for CESO Stream 3 only.

This CAAF funding opportunity is part of the CESO, which seeks to engage experts from across Canada to advance projects that address critical environmental issues, such as climate change and nature.

Funding is available under three streams:

  • Stream 1: Research, modelling & risk assessment
  • Stream 2: Nature research
  • Stream 3: Research & analysis to support Canada’s path to net zero
