Description

Nominators are advised to contact Ellen Steinhauer , Awards and Honours,  for information on this program.

Traditional Fulbright Scholar awards for Canadian scholars are open to scholars in all fields (excluding medical training) and are designed to enable emerging and established scholars, post-doctoral researchers and experienced professionals to conduct research, teach, or undertake a combination of both activities for one semester or a full academic year at a university or research centre of their choice in the United States. Applicants must have received a Ph.D. or equivalent professional/terminal degree or have equivalent professional experience.

Fulbright scholarships are awarded for periods ranging from one semester to a full academic year. Ideally, the dates of the award should coincide with the academic year of the host institution. Traditional Fulbright Scholar awards are not available for the summer months only, nor are awards available for attendance at professional conferences or meetings.

Further details on this funding opportunity are available on Fulbright’s website.
