This pilot funding program by the Lundin Cancer Fund – Canadian Cancer Society Glioblastoma Research Program is part of the newly launched GBM Research Collaborative. This collaborative ecosystem will allow researchers to share data and protocols, generate discussion and open unique funding opportunities to its members. This opportunity emerged as a direct response to what we heard during the consultations and at the GBM Summit held in 2025 to accelerate GBM research and enhance collaboration.
For this program, we are looking to accelerate the grant review process and are modelling it after the Distributed Peer Review system. To apply for this funding opportunity, researchers must be registered as part of the GBM research collaborative. The Summit Discovery Grants will support preliminary research to establish proof of principle in novel concepts or approaches with the potential to advance GBM detection, treatment and patient quality of life.
