Description
Award Value: This initiative will support 1 year of Elevate funding, which is $60,000.
Research Topic: This call is for fellowships focused on workplace mental health.
Deadline to Apply:
- The deadline for Step 1 of the application process is Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at 11:59pm EDT.
- The deadline for RIS review and sign off is Friday, May 10th.
Application Process
This is a two-step application process:
- An initial application is submitted to the MHRC.
- Successful applicants will be invited to submit a Mitacs Elevate fellowship application through the usual process. MHRC will cover all of the partner’s financial contribution portion.
- Note: This initiative does not support ‘TBD interns’ – i.e., a fellow must be identified at the time of application.

There are two streams applicants may take in terms of the partner they work with:
Standard – Please refer to the application guide for eligible partner organizations.
MHRC – Mental Health Research Canada may be chosen as a partner.
