Memorial Deadline: Tuesday 6th, April 2021

External Deadline: Tuesday 13th, April 2021

SIRI will be offering support with application development for this opportunity. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Jennifer Stevens ( early during the development process to discuss the services available to them.

Please note: To be eligible to submit a full application, applicants must have been successful in the Letter of Intent process and invited to apply.

For MUN faculty who are participating as a Co-Principal Applicant or Co-Applicant on an application being submitted by another external organization:

  • * We understand that a final version of the application may not be available for RGCS review in time for our deadline. **For RGCS purposes, a close-to-final draft of the application should be received by RGCS via the MUN Researcher Portal by April 6, 2021. Please check with your unit facilitator as their deadline will be prior to ours and they can also advise on any additional approvals/documentation required for their faculty review.
  • * If the external organization requires an institutional signature from Memorial University on a particular document to be provided by a specific date, please confer with your unit facilitator as your portal submission deadline may need to be adjusted to accommodate the request.

For MUN faculty who are Nominated Principal Applicants for an application to be submitted by Memorial University:

  • **The submission process for RGCS will be a DUAL one. The complete final application will need to be submitted on both the MUN Researcher Portal and the Convergence Portal. Submission on the MUN portal routes the application through your faculty so that submission on to RGCS by the unit constitutes their approval. Submission of the application via the Convergence portal is necessary as this transfers access to the application to RGCS for further submission on to SSHRC once the application has been reviewed and approved.
  • * The deadline for RGCS to receive the application on both of these portals is April 6, 2021. Please check with your unit facilitator as their deadlines will be prior to ours and they can also advise on the submission process/documentation required for faculty review.
