Description
The Department of Education invites proposals for funding from school boards and other organizations under the Official Languages in Education Program for 2024-25. The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2024.
The Official Languages in Education Program is a federal-provincial initiative whereby funds are provided to school boards and other agencies to support French first language education and French second language instruction, in the context of a bilateral agreement between the federal and provincial governments. Funds for these projects are provided through the current Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction.
Please use the attached Application Form to request funding for 2024-25 and consult the Applicants Guide before completing the form.
Please complete a separate application form for each project or initiative. The application form is a fillable Word form. Additional information can be provided as an appendix but we ask that groups complete the form to the best of their ability, and only provide appendices if needed.
New for 2024-25: Organizations that are submitting projects that entail class time and/or student involvement during instructional hours will require the support from school boards, in writing. This support will be required prior to evaluation of the project. Written support from school boards must be provided at the time of the submission of the proposal.
Late or incomplete applications as well as applications with errors will delay the overall evaluation process and may not be considered or may be placed at the bottom of the priority list for evaluation and/or approval.
