About the opportunity

GENDER-NET Plus is part of the European Research Area Network (ERA-NET) Cofund, one of whose aims is to foster the integration of sex- and gender-based analysis (SGBA) into research and funding programs.

CIHR’s participation in GENDER-NET Plus is part of the Personalized Health Initiative, a priority-driven initiative funded through the CIHR Roadmap Accelerator Fund which is led by the Institute of Aging, the Institute of Cancer Research, the Institute of Gender and Health, the Institute of Genetics and the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research in partnership with Mitacs. One of the objectives of the Personalized Health Initiative is increasing researcher awareness about the importance of SGBA.

CIHR is interested in supporting applications that explore the importance of sex and gender in health and particularly sex and age in diagnosis and treatment.
