Description
The France Canada Research Fund is a major instrument of Franco-Canadian scientific cooperation, created in 2000 through an agreement between the French Embassy in Canada and a consortium of 23 Canadian universities.
This 2026 call is limited to former FCRF awardees (2001-2024) to strengthen the collaboration and target external funding. The funding is awarded in the amount of $5,000 CAD for a period of 1 year and is intended to support mobility costs for Principal Investigators. The funds will be managed by the Canadian university to which the project is attached.

Submission Process: As there is no quota related to this funding, application submission will follow the usual RIS 3- business day process for application review and approval.

FCRF deadline: November 14, 2025
Round 2:
RIS deadline: March 31, 2026
FCRF deadline: April 3, 2026

How to submit: Final complete applications are to be submitted on the MUN Researcher Portal as per the usual application process. Please note, your unit will have a deadline prior to the RIS deadline for review and unit approval. Please check with your Grant Facilitator/ Associate Dean to confirm your unit deadline. Please note, late submissions will not be accepted. Final submission of the approved application to assistant.science@ambafrance-ca.org will be the responsibility of the Memorial University Principal Applicant.
