Description
The Netherlands-Canada Type 2 Diabetes Consortium – Travel Awards will provide support for Canadian type 2 diabetes researchers to attend a Workshop being held in The Netherlands December 10-11, 2019. The Workshop will bring together Dutch researchers who received funding through a Dutch research funding call, the Diabetes II Breakthrough Projects competition, with Canadian type 2 diabetes researchers that have an interest in collaborating with Dutch investigators to form a Consortium focused on preventing and/or reversing type 2 diabetes. Other stakeholders at the Workshop will include Dutch people with type 2 diabetes and representatives from industry.
These Travel Awards will support the development of a Netherlands-Canada Type 2 Diabetes Research Consortium to be comprised of Canadian type 2 diabetes researchers and Dutch researchers funded through the Diabetes II Breakthrough Projects. A funding opportunity for the Netherlands-Canada Type 2 Diabetes Research Consortium will be launched in the coming months.
